Ciara and Russell Wilson Prepare for Baby No 5 as Family Enters a New Chapter

The singer is expecting her fifth child, while Wilson has joked about needing more help as the couple prepares to expand their family

Ciara and Russell Wilson are preparing to welcome another child, with the singer’s pregnancy continuing to draw attention as the couple enters a new chapter of family life.

Ciara announced in September that she and Wilson are expecting their fifth child, and their fourth together. The couple revealed the news on Instagram on 6 September, with Ciara sharing images of her growing bump and writing: “One more person to Love.”

The announcement came after months of public discussion about whether the couple would expand their family again.

Wilson had spoken about the possibility in July, telling E! News that he was hoping they would have a fifth child. The former NFL quarterback said at the time that he was trying to convince Ciara, adding that he wanted five children.

The speculation became reality several weeks later.

The couple are already parents to Sienna Princess, Win Harrison and Amora Princess, while Ciara also has a son, Future Zahir, from her previous relationship with rapper Future. The children range in age from two to 12.

More recently, Wilson joked about the practical realities of adding another child to the household.

Speaking at the Fast Company Innovation Festival in New York in September, Wilson was asked about the demands of raising a growing family. He joked that the couple may need “more and more nannies, more and more help”, while also noting that the older children are able to help with the younger ones.

The comments offered a glimpse into the logistics behind a family that has continued to grow while both parents maintain demanding careers.

For Ciara, the pregnancy comes as she continues to balance music, fashion and business ventures with motherhood. Wilson, meanwhile, officially retired from the NFL in June after 14 seasons and has moved into broadcasting, joining CBS Sports as an analyst.

The couple’s children were also involved in the pregnancy reveal. In a video shared shortly after the announcement, Ciara and Wilson gathered their children for what appeared to be a family photograph before revealing that they were expecting another baby.

Their daughter Sienna had already suspected that Ciara was pregnant. In a September interview, Ciara recalled that Sienna had told her she believed there was a baby in her mother’s stomach before the pregnancy had been publicly announced.

The couple have not announced the baby’s sex or a specific due date.

Ciara and Wilson married in 2016 and celebrated their 10th wedding anniversary in July. Their relationship has remained a prominent part of their public lives, with both regularly sharing moments from their family life alongside their professional work.

The arrival of their fifth child will add another member to a family that has increasingly been at the centre of both stars’ public identities.

For now, the couple are preparing for the latest addition while continuing to navigate the demands of careers, parenthood and life in the public eye.
