Maura Higgins is back in the spotlight as the Irish television personality continues her run on the U.S. edition of Dancing with the Stars, with the competition entering its third week on Tuesday night.
Higgins and professional dance partner Mark Ballas are among the 13 remaining couples competing on the latest episode, titled “Yacht Rock Night.”
For the latest performance, Higgins and Ballas are taking on a quickstep to George Benson’s “Turn Your Love Around,” adding another ballroom routine to Higgins’ growing television portfolio in the United States.
The episode comes after a demanding second week for Higgins, who previously revealed that she accidentally chipped part of Ballas’ tooth during rehearsals.
Despite the mishap, the pair continued with their routine and earned 19 points from the judges, keeping them in the competition as the field was reduced.
Higgins first became widely known internationally through Love Island, but her recent television appearances have increasingly expanded her profile beyond the British and Irish reality-TV market.
Her current Dancing with the Stars campaign follows her appearance on the U.S. version of The Traitors, further establishing her presence in American reality television.
Away from the ballroom, Higgins has also generated attention after listing dozens of items from her personal wardrobe for resale on Vinted. The collection reportedly includes both high-street fashion and luxury pieces, with prices ranging from £16 to £1,800. Items listed include Fendi, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, Prada and Alo.
The wardrobe sale has provided an additional talking point around Higgins at a time when her television profile is expanding in the United States, but her immediate focus remains the Dancing with the Stars competition.
Tuesday’s “Yacht Rock Night” features performances from the remaining couples to songs associated with artists including Toto, Hall & Oates, Fleetwood Mac and the Doobie Brothers.
For Higgins, the appearance represents another opportunity to establish herself with a U.S. television audience after building her original fan base through British and Irish reality television.
As the Dancing with the Stars field continues to narrow, Higgins and Ballas now face another test on the ballroom floor, with their quickstep providing the latest measure of her progress in the competition.
