The 1982 album re-enters the Billboard Reggae Albums chart at No. 10 as a new version of “Bam Bam” continues its international run

Sister Nancy’s 1982 album One, Two has returned to the Billboard Reggae Albums chart, re-entering at No. 10 as renewed international attention continues around her signature song “Bam Bam.”

The latest chart appearance was reported by the Jamaica Observer on September 23, 2026. One, Two, originally released through Techniques Records, previously reached No. 3 on Billboard’s Reggae Albums chart in April 2025.

The album was first released on vinyl in 1982 and later issued on CD in 1992. Its tracklist includes “Bam Bam”, “One, Two” and “Transport Connection”, three recordings that have remained associated with Sister Nancy’s catalogue for decades.

The renewed chart activity comes as “Jamaican (Bam Bam),” a reconstructed version of Sister Nancy’s classic, continues to perform across international charts. The new recording is credited to French house producers HUGEL and SOLTO and places Sister Nancy’s original vocal in a contemporary dance and electronic setting.

As of the latest figures reported by the Jamaica Observer, “Jamaican (Bam Bam)” sits at No. 10 on Billboard’s Hot Dance/Electronic Songs chart, No. 21 on Warm Global Dance Radio, No. 44 on the Billboard Global 200 and No. 22 on Global Excl. US. The song is also No. 10 in France.

The recording has also accumulated certifications in several markets. According to the Jamaica Observer, “Jamaican (Bam Bam)” is certified platinum in Greece, Belgium and Portugal, gold in Italy, Spain and Mexico, and diamond in France.

The renewed attention has created an unusual chart connection between Sister Nancy’s original 1980s catalogue and a contemporary electronic reinterpretation of one of her best-known recordings. While One, Two is appearing again on a reggae-specific Billboard chart, “Jamaican (Bam Bam)” is reaching audiences through dance and electronic charts.

For Sister Nancy, the latest Billboard appearance comes more than 40 years after One, Two was first released. The album’s return also follows its original Billboard breakthrough in 2025, when it entered the Reggae Albums chart at No. 3.

The two chart stories are now running alongside each other: the original One, Two has returned to the reggae albums ranking, while a modern reconstruction of “Bam Bam” continues to circulate across international markets.

Sister Nancy’s catalogue is therefore receiving renewed chart attention on both sides of the musical divide — through the original recordings and through a new interpretation of one of Jamaican music’s enduring songs.
