Future Fambo and Sheenwrks’ “Give Thanks” has moved to the top of the Florida Reggae & Dancehall Top 20 Radio Singles chart, giving the Seanizzle-produced collaboration a notable position in the US reggae radio market.
The song, released on July 3 through Seanizzle Records, pairs the veteran dancehall artist with Sheenwrks on a record built around gratitude, faith and reflection. Jamaica Observer reported on September 17 that “Give Thanks” had reached No. 1 on the Florida chart, ahead of Capleton, Damian Marley and Stephen Marley’s “Babylon So Evil.”
The chart placement gives the single a fresh point of momentum nearly three months after its release. Its arrival at the top also places Seanizzle’s production alongside a range of established reggae and dancehall names appearing elsewhere on the chart.
Seanizzle, whose given name is Sean Reid, has said the song began with an idea he developed before Future Fambo recorded the chorus. According to an interview with Kaboom Magazine, Seanizzle later brought Sheenwrks into the recording after deciding that his vocal style and melodic approach could complement Fambo’s performance.
Seanizzle told the publication that the song was created during Hurricane Melissa and later sent to Fambo following a conversation between the two. He said Fambo responded strongly to the material and wanted to record it. Seanizzle described the resulting record as one centred on gratitude, resilience, faith and personal growth.
The collaboration also brings together two different points in dancehall’s continuing evolution. Future Fambo has been part of Jamaica’s dancehall scene for decades, while Sheenwrks represents a newer generation of artists working across melodic and contemporary dancehall styles. Their pairing allows the production to move between Fambo’s established deejay presence and Sheenwrks’ more melodic contribution.
The song’s visual campaign was developed alongside the release. The official music video credits GavMazing Collective as director and Sasha Maya Benjamin as creative director. Courtney Russell is credited as director of photography, with Orville White handling production design.
The video’s production credits also include Tasha-Gaye Davis as set assistant, Andrade Nelson for lighting and behind-the-scenes work, Ernesto Castro for custom design, Dadriel Bent as the modern contemporary dancer, and Kimayro Pinnock and Daniel Pinnock as production coordinators.
For Sheenwrks, the chart result adds another marker to his developing catalogue, while for Future Fambo it extends a longstanding presence in Jamaican music into a collaboration shaped around a more reflective subject. For Seanizzle, the record continues a production career that has moved through multiple eras of dancehall while maintaining a focus on artist-driven collaborations.
“Give Thanks” is now positioned at the intersection of new music, radio activity and the continuing reach of Jamaican dancehall beyond the island. Its No. 1 position on the Florida Reggae & Dancehall Top 20 gives the collaboration a measurable moment in the US market as the song continues its run.
