Jim Carrey has married his longtime partner, Min Ah, in a private ceremony in Los Angeles, according to reports.
Carrey’s representative confirmed the marriage to PEOPLE on September 30. TMZ also reported that the couple held a small, private ceremony in Los Angeles, although further details about the wedding have not been publicly disclosed.
The marriage follows the couple’s first major public appearance together earlier this year at the César Awards in Paris.
Carrey attended the February ceremony to receive an honorary César recognizing his contribution to cinema. During his acceptance speech, he publicly acknowledged Min Ah, describing her as his “sublime companion” and telling her, “I love you, Min Ah.”
The couple had largely kept their relationship away from the public spotlight before appearing together in Paris.
For Carrey, the marriage marks his third. He was previously married to Melissa Womer, with whom he shares daughter Jane, from 1987 to 1995. He later married actress Lauren Holly in 1996; their marriage ended the following year.
Carrey, 64, remains one of Hollywood’s most recognizable actors, with a career spanning comedy, drama and major studio productions. His film credits include Ace Ventura: Pet Detective, The Mask, Dumb and Dumber, Liar Liar, The Truman Show and Bruce Almighty.
The actor has also remained active professionally, including receiving the honorary César in Paris earlier this year.
While details surrounding the wedding remain private, Carrey’s public acknowledgment of Min Ah at the César Awards provided one of the clearest glimpses into their relationship before the marriage was confirmed.
For now, the couple has not publicly shared additional details about the ceremony or celebrations.
