The Puerto Rican artists’ new collaboration is gaining momentum across Latin America and Spain less than a week after release

ROA and Anuel AA’s new collaboration “VAMO A VEL” has made an early impact on the global streaming charts, debuting in the Top 5 of Spotify’s global Top Songs Debut chart less than a week after its release.

The track, released September 18, also ranks as the No. 1 Latin song on that debut chart, according to reporting published Wednesday. Its performance comes as the collaboration continues to build momentum across several Latin music markets.

On Apple Music, “VAMO A VEL” is currently sitting at No. 3 in both Chile and Spain, No. 5 in Argentina, No. 17 in Colombia and No. 29 in Peru. The song has also reached No. 1 on the platform’s Top 25 chart in San Juan.

The official music video has also registered movement. It entered Apple Music’s Latin music video chart in the United States and reached No. 4 globally, while taking the No. 1 position in several individual markets, including Puerto Rico, Chile, Peru, the Dominican Republic and Uruguay.

For ROA, the release represents another collaboration with Anuel AA following their earlier track “Netflix & Chill.” The two artists had already shared the stage in Spain, where they performed the song during ROA’s appearance at Puro Latino Fest, helping fuel speculation that another collaboration was coming.

The new record arrives at an important point in ROA’s career. The Puerto Rican artist is preparing for his first United States headlining tour, which is scheduled to begin in Miami on October 8 before moving through markets including Chicago, New York, Dallas and Los Angeles.

Several dates on the announced itinerary have already been reported as sold out, including Miami, Boston, New York, Washington, D.C., and Elizabeth, New Jersey.

The early chart results give “VAMO A VEL” a measurable start rather than simply relying on the visibility of its two artists. Current Apple Music tracking shows the song active in five national charts, with its strongest positions in Chile and Spain.

The collaboration also connects two different stages of Puerto Rico’s reggaeton scene. Anuel AA is an established figure in the genre, while ROA has emerged more recently as part of a younger generation of Puerto Rican urban artists.

For now, the numbers point to a fast start for “VAMO A VEL”. Whether that initial surge develops into sustained chart performance will depend on how the song holds its positions in the weeks ahead.

For ROA, however, the timing is clear: a new collaboration with one of reggaeton’s established names has arrived just as he prepares to take his music to U.S. audiences on his first headlining run.
