A new dancehall collaboration is taking shape in Trinidad and Tobago, where Trinidadian artist Jahllano and Guyanese artist Lola Doll have linked up in the studio to work on new music.
The two artists were recently pictured together during a studio session in Trinidad, offering an early glimpse of a collaboration that brings together artists from two different corners of the Caribbean dancehall landscape.
Neither artist has announced a title or release date for the recording, and details about the project remain under wraps. For now, the studio appearance is the clearest indication that the two are working together on music intended to connect with both male and female dancehall audiences.
Jahllano has remained active throughout 2026, releasing a run of singles including “Born To Win”, “No Chorus Freestyle”, “Rapid Response”, “Bad Freak” and “Dolly Up”. His catalogue also includes collaborations with artists across Trinidad and the wider Caribbean.
The session comes as Lola Doll continues to expand her presence beyond Guyana.
The Guyanese artist has spent 2026 releasing new material while working with performers from other Caribbean territories. Her recent catalogue includes collaborations involving Trinidadian artists, reinforcing the regional connections that have become increasingly visible in her music.
Lola Doll’s most recent release, “Size Up”, arrived earlier this month and placed female confidence and dancehall attitude at the centre of the record. The song was produced by DJ Mac and continued a run of releases that has kept the artist active within the contemporary Caribbean dancehall space.
A collaboration with Jahllano would extend that Caribbean connection in another direction.
Trinidad has developed its own dancehall ecosystem, including the Trinibad movement, while Guyanese artists have increasingly used dancehall as part of a broader Caribbean musical identity. When artists from those scenes meet in the studio, the significance is not necessarily in the promise of a particular commercial result, but in the continued movement of music and artists across regional borders.
That movement has become increasingly visible in Lola Doll’s recent work. Her collaborations with Trinidadian performers have placed her within conversations that extend beyond Guyana, while Jahllano’s catalogue shows a similarly collaborative approach to Caribbean music.
For the moment, however, the new Jahllano and Lola Doll project remains unfinished business in the studio.
There is no confirmed release date, title or additional production information to report. What is clear is that the two artists have begun working together in Trinidad — and whatever emerges from the session will add another link between Guyana’s dancehall scene and Trinidad’s evolving sound.
RaptureStone will update the story when further details about the collaboration are confirmed.
